GMO ban lifted | Cabinet lifts ban on genetically modified crops

President William Ruto has lifted the ban on genetically modified crops bringing to an end a ten year ban on importation and planting of genetically modified foods. In a cabinet decision, the government indicated the decision was to address the country's food security that has been ravaged by effects of drought and pests.
