Gaslighting is a form of manipulation that often occurs in abusive relationships. Gaslighting comes in many forms such as blatant lies, denying, using what you love against you, words versus actions and so much more. Gaslighters can be sneaky with how they manipulate you, and you may not realize it until later.
In a previous video, 5 Phrases Gaslighters Use to Control You, we talked about some gaslighter phrases. In this video, we’ll dive deeper into the gaslighters themselves to help you protect yourself from gaslighting abuse.

Gaslighting is an insidious practice of making a person doubt their perception and assessment of reality by distorting the truth so that it fits the gaslighter’s agenda. If you don’t know what gaslighting is then we’ve covered that in an earlier video linked in the description below. We highly recommend you check it out.

Gaslighting is a term for a form of psychological and emotional abuse, commonly associated with narcissists. It is a way of gaining control over someone by having them doubt themselves and their own sense of reality. Tactics include misdirection, denial, using word salad to create confusion and crazy making.
