w tym rolnicy i organizacje rolnicze, naukowcy, ekolodzy i różne organizacje
społeczne, politycy, przedsiębiorcy i ich organizacje, konsumenci i ich organizacje.

W konferencji wzięli udział:
1. Doc. dr hab. Katarzyna Lisowska, biolog molekularny, pracownik działu badawczego
Instytutu Onkologii w Gliwicach, która przedstawiła fakty naukowe świadczące o
ryzyku, jakie towarzyszy otwartemu użyciu organizmów genetycznie zmodyfikowanych,
oraz niefrasobliwości naukowców propagujących te uprawy, w sytuacji braku realnych
barier ochronnych i zabezpieczeń chroniących przed niekontrolowanym uwolnieniem ich
do środowiska.

2. Anna Bednarek i Urszula Wyrwicka, rolniczki reprezentujące tradycyjne i
ekologiczne gospodarstwa, które omówiły temat: Dlaczego nie chcemy GMO oraz
rezultaty ogólnopolskiej akcji pt. Tradycyjne i ekologiczne gospodarstwa zapraszają

Przedstawiły także swoje uzasadnione obawy wywołane groźbą potencjalnego
wprowadzenia w życie nieodpowiedzialnego aktu prawnego legalizującego
niekontrolowane rozpowszechnianie GMO na polskich ziemiach.
Przywieźliśmy do Sejmu ŻYWIECKIE SERCE z piernika z napisem NIE dla GMO i
Pomagajmy Ziemi Rodzić Jedno duże dla Marszałka Sejmu i około 30 szt. dla
zwolenników GMO aby rozmrozić ich serca, aby zmusić ich do refleksji, że oni też
mają dzieci za których przyszłość odpowiadają - powiedziała Anna Bednarek

3. Janusz Wojciechowski, wiceprzewodniczący Komisji d/s Rolnictwa w Parlamencie
Europejskim, który skomentował nielegalne uprawy kukurydzy MON 810 na terenie
Polski, przedstawiając odpowiedź Stavrosa Dimasa, komisarza ds. środowiska w UE, na
swoje zapytania w sprawie GMO.

4. Próbę naruszenia art. 39 Konstytucji RP omówili prof. dr hab. Ewa Rembiałkowska
SGGW - kierownik Zakładu Żywności Ekologicznej Wydziału Nauk o Żywieniu Człowieka i
Konsumpcji oraz prof. dr hab. Tadeusz Żarski - kierownik Zakładu Higieny Zwierząt i
Środowiska na SGGW, którzy udowodnili eksperymentalny i nieprzewidywalny charakter
zastosowań GMO w żywności dla ludzi i zwierząt oraz brak należytej informacji o
zagrożeniach i ryzyku związanym ze stosowaniem GMO w żywności i paszach.

5. Naruszenie art. 74 w związku z art. 86 Konstytucji uzasadnił prof. zw. dr hab.
Ludwik Tomiałojć, wykładowca podstaw ochrony przyrody i zasady rozwoju
zrównoważonego, Uniwersytet Wrocławski, który przedstawił stanowisko Komitetu
Ochrony Przyrody Polskiej Akademii Nauk, zawierające wniosek o wprowadzenie
natychmiastowego moratorium na stosowanie GMO w tzw. użyciu otwartym tzn. w uprawach
komercyjnych i eksperymentalnych.

6. Paweł Połanecki, niezależny ekspert Koalicji POLSKA WOLNA OD GMO w
podsumowaniu powiedział:
Nasze zarzuty do ustawy, oparte na najnowszej wiedzy naukowej i przepisach
obowiązującego w Polsce prawa, kwalifikują proponowane rozwiązanie legislacyjne do
odrzucenia w całości, a w przypadku jego uchwalenia przez Parlament - będą stanowić
podstawę do zaskarżenia do Trybunału Konstytucyjnego

In this short video, we’re going to talk about GMOs (genetically modified organisms).

What is GMO?
GMO (genetically modified organisms) is where they take a gene from one species like a fish and insert it into another species like a soy plant to alter the mechanics of what that plant can do.

Companies that do this really want to create a Roundup Ready plant. This means the plant will be resistant to Roundup Ready, which is an herbicide.

Foods that are mostly genetically modified:

• Soy
• Corn
• Canola
• Cottonseed
• Salmon (unless it’s organic)

If a soybean, for example, is resistant to a pesticide, you can spray the pesticide or herbicide on the plant, and the weeds around it will die, but the plant will not. However, you’re still getting the chemical in your body, and the liver can’t detoxify it.

95% of the GMO sold in the United States is being fed to animals—it’s in animal feeds. It goes through the animals and straight to you.

What you can do:

1. Consume organic foods (especially chicken, eggs, and cheese)
2. Consume cruciferous foods on a daily basis
