The latest episode of Baat-Chitt focusses on Gaslighting, a kind of emotional abuse that's mostly found in close toxic relationships like couples, parents-children etc. It is a type of manipulation in which the more powerful person dominates the less powerful one. The gaslighter controls the gaslightee(the one who gets gaslit), makes the latter question their reality and emotionally abuses them on a regular basis. It directly impacts the mental wellness of the gaslightee.

Partiamo dal definire correttamente il Gaslighting:
Il Gaslighting è una forma di manipolazione psicologica agita nei confronti di una persona, al fine di farla dubitare di se stessa e della sua percezione della realtà e dei suoi pensieri.
L'obiettivo del Gaslighter è quello di guadagnare potere nella relazione e sottomissione dell'altra persona. Purtroppo a volte sfocia anche in violenze. Ovviamente ogni volta che è presente una violenza è fondamentale denunciare!
Quindi il Gaslighting è in pratica:
- Una forma di manipolazione subdola
- Entra nell'ambito delle relazioni tossiche
- la si può riconoscere e si può uscire da questa pericolosa situazione
Come riconoscere il Gaslighting:

ecco un estratto utile per il nostro video. Come riconoscere il Gaslighting:
1) Dicono bugie senza alcun tipo di vergogna
2) Negano di aver detto qualcosa, anche se ne hai le prove
3) Usano ciò che ti è vicino e caro come mezzo per raggiungerti
4) Ti portano all’usura
5) Le loro azioni non seguono le loro parole
6) Ti offrono rinforzi positivi per manipolarti
7) Sanno che la confusione indebolisce le persone
8) Tentano di mettere le altre persone contro di te
9) Dirà agli altri che stai perdendo la testa
10) Ti dirà che tutti mentono
Ora vediamo come uscirne:
1) Sviluppa la consapevolezza (perché è una manipolazione subdola)
- La parte più importante è mantenere un diario con delle prove per smascherare bugie lampanti.
2) Punta su di te
- Sviluppa indipendenza emotiva
- Lavora sulla tua autostima
- Stabilisci cosa vuoi realizzare nella tua vita
3) Chiedi aiuto
- Terapeuta o un terapeuta di coppia
4) Stabilisci le corrette responsabilità
- Non sei responsabile dei suoi comportamenti MAI
- Sei responsabile della tua parte di relazione e della scelta di restare in una relazione tossica
5) Fai scelte nette e in una direzione precisa
