‘This Is What It Feels Like’ is one of the biggest hits of my career so far, and one of the absolutely highlights of my 2013 album ‘Intense’. I had so much fun recording the music video for this track, cruising through the Nevada desert with Ron Jeremy and Trevor. I just don’t know where to begin with this track. It’s been one of my biggest hits to date and I honestly feel this track is one of the reasons of my success today. I was honored that Sharon den Adel wanted to perform alongside me at ‘The Best Of Armin Only’, especially because she’s been enjoying global success with her own band, Within Temptation. The original song was part of my 2008 album ‘Imagine’. While playing it in my live sets over the past few years, I noticed it lacked that fullness of today’s productions, so that’s why I created this 2017 Revision.

‘Shivers’ was the title track of my second artist album and featured the vocals of an amazingly talented singer called Susana. She also performed alongside me at ‘Armin Only: The Next Level’ in Rotterdam, the Netherlands and at ‘Armin Only: Imagine’ in Utrecht in 2008. This is a very special record for me. Armin van Buuren finally unleashes his new artist album ‘BALANCE’. As stated by Armin van Buuren, the album is about thinking in possibilities rather than definition, thinking about what music could be instead of what it should be. “Every song I make teaches me something new, and the next song is always a result of all my previous records, the new things I learned and the people I met”, the world-renowned DJ and producer says in the foreword of his album. “Over the years, this process - and especially the fun of creating - became more and more important to me. It’s a journey that gives me meaning and helps me learn more about my personal interests rather than focus on the recognition I get for the outcome. That’s the big difference between who I am today and who I was a few years ago. 'BALANCE' is a new chapter in my book of life, the result of venturing into known and unknown territories while finding the balance in between. This creative journey gives me the energy to do what I do, to keep going. I don’t want to think about what music should be. I want to think about what music could be."

Right after summer, it's time for the full 'Mirage' album to take over. Inspired and influenced by many different types of music, 'Mirage' is more diverse than any other Armin album before. His collaboration with Sophie Ellis-Bextor, 'Not Giving Up On Love' is a perfect example of that, combining the best of both worlds. Armin:"The Nervo Sisters, Sophie Ellis-Bextor and me met up to write the vocals for 'Not Giving Up On Love'. I was thrilled to work with them on this. We gave it a more analog feel with some real drums, to give it a pop-rock feel. We also put a piano top line on the track and then the vocals of Sophie, which I think is a win. It's a lush summer tune with an epic vocal that gets stuck in your head and cheers you up!"

'Mirage' is filled with musical fusions and surprising interpretations, from the orchestral masterpiece of title track 'Mirage', deep trance track 'I Don't Own You' and housy 'Feels So Good' to the eerie 'Take A Moment' and feel-good 'Drowning'. 16 tracks that highlight how Armin has matured as an artist.
