‘Strong Ones’ was the third single of my ‘Embrace’ album. I took Cimo Fränkel, the singer, on a trip to Portugal to shoot the music video, and I can honestly say that recording that music video is one of the coolest shoots I got to do in the past few years. Cimo accompanied me throughout almost the entire ‘Embrace’ world tour and he rocked the stage big time. I’d love to work with him again someday.

The documentary 'A Year With Armin van Buuren' takes one year out of the roaring life of the Dutch DJ. Shot during an important year, the result is a unique documentary that offers a rare look inside the life and personality of the world famous DJ/producer. On October 6th at 9.30 p.m. CET, the documentary will be premiered worldwide via the YouTube channel of KLM Royal Dutch Airlines.

The documentary gives the viewer a look inside Armin's life. From his parental house to the private jets. It brings you from empty hotel rooms to the heat of the moment, as 100,000 clubbers await their hero. From the preparations of his 'Mirage' world tour and the phone call that will tell him if he'll keep his number one DJ Mag Top 100 position. 'A Year With Armin van Buuren' is a documentary of an important time in the life of the DJ and reveals his perfectionism and huge passion for music.

Premiering the documentary on the KLM YouTube channel was a logical choice for Van Buuren. He explains: "I think KLM handles social media perfectly. They don't only represent some very clever and special campaigns, but also offer a 24/7 service via Facebook and Twitter. I'm on the road a lot and constantly switch time zones, so that flexibility and service is of great use to me. Through my social media channels, I always try to stay in touch with my fans. By premiering the documentary this way, 'A Year With Armin van Buuren' is available for every fan and viewer -- no matter where they live or what time zone they're in."

The documentary will be premiered on KLM's YouTube channel on October 6th 9.30 P.M. CET, after which it'll be available for another 2 weeks.. From October 12th on, 'A Year With Armin van Buuren' will be available on DVD at http://www.ArmadaShop.com

In 2017, I created a gimmick track called ‘This Is A Test’. I received a brilliant remix from Arkham Knights soon after, and that version became one of my go-to tracks in 2017. I’ll never forget the first time I played it at Tomorrowland 2017. The crowd had no idea what was going on, haha!

Right after summer, it's time for the full 'Mirage' album to take over. Inspired and influenced by many different types of music, 'Mirage' is more diverse than any other Armin album before. His collaboration with Sophie Ellis-Bextor, 'Not Giving Up On Love' is a perfect example of that, combining the best of both worlds. Armin:"The Nervo Sisters, Sophie Ellis-Bextor and me met up to write the vocals for 'Not Giving Up On Love'. I was thrilled to work with them on this. We gave it a more analog feel with some real drums, to give it a pop-rock feel. We also put a piano top line on the track and then the vocals of Sophie, which I think is a win. It's a lush summer tune with an epic vocal that gets stuck in your head and cheers you up!"

'Mirage' is filled with musical fusions and surprising interpretations, from the orchestral masterpiece of title track 'Mirage', deep trance track 'I Don't Own You' and housy 'Feels So Good' to the eerie 'Take A Moment' and feel-good 'Drowning'. 16 tracks that highlight how Armin has matured as an artist.

Armin van Buuren finally unleashes his new artist album ‘BALANCE’. As stated by Armin van Buuren, the album is about thinking in possibilities rather than definition, thinking about what music could be instead of what it should be. “Every song I make teaches me something new, and the next song is always a result of all my previous records, the new things I learned and the people I met”, the world-renowned DJ and producer says in the foreword of his album. “Over the years, this process - and especially the fun of creating - became more and more important to me. It’s a journey that gives me meaning and helps me learn more about my personal interests rather than focus on the recognition I get for the outcome. That’s the big difference between who I am today and who I was a few years ago. 'BALANCE' is a new chapter in my book of life, the result of venturing into known and unknown territories while finding the balance in between. This creative journey gives me the energy to do what I do, to keep going. I don’t want to think about what music should be. I want to think about what music could be."
