The U.S. Food and Drug Administration, in collaboration with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), launched Feed Your Mind, an Agricultural Biotechnology Education and Outreach Initiative, to increase consumer awareness and understanding of GMOs.

Name a food preference and you can likely find items in the supermarket aisles to accommodate your wants and needs: low-fat, zero fat, low carb, gluten-free, organic, vegetarian-friendly, vegan, Paleo, Keto. The list goes on.
But no label stirs up quite as much debate as the one bearing these three letters: GMO.
But should you be stressing out in the cereal aisle trying to spot which box has genetically-modified organisms listed within it ingredients?
Some experts say no, and go further in saying you should not be fooled by labels claiming food is GMO-free.

This video reviews why humans modify crops. Many of these reasons are similar to what they were thousands of years ago, like preventing crop loss from pest and weather damage or growing more food on less land. Today, with genetic engineering, scientists can change and improve crops more easily and quickly.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) launched Feed Your Mind, the Agricultural Biotechnology Education and Outreach Initiative, to help consumers better understand genetically engineered foods, commonly called GMOs or genetically modified organisms.

Trang trại hữu cơ 5 Tấn tọa lạc tại Thôn 3, Xã Nhị Hà, Huyện Thuận Nam, Tỉnh Ninh Thuận có diện tích tổng 10ha, trong đó có 8ha canh tác đã được chứng nhận hữu cơ .Trang trại có con Sông Trăng đi qua, nước chảy quanh năm, các mặt còn lại của trang trại giáp đường đi, xung quanh khu vực bán kính dưới 1km là đất chưa được khai thác, chủ yếu là đất rừng.
Lợi thế nằm cách xa khu dân cư, khu canh tác nông nghiệp truyền thống của địa phương, nên trang trại 5 Tấn có được vùng đệm canh tác hữu cơ rất tốt, đất của trang trại được khai thác từ đầu, chưa qua canh tác truyền thống, với xu hướng sản xuất bền vững và nhu cầu thực phẩm cho tương lai, nên trang trại quyết tâm theo đuổi canh tác hữu cơ và hiện nay trang trại tập trung canh tác chủ yếu là cây táo (giống táo xanh Ninh Thuận) nằm trong 12 sản phẩm đặc thù của tỉnh Ninh Thuận. Sau 5 năm thì vườn táo xanh 5 Tấn đã đạt được chứng nhận hữu cơ USDA của hợp chuẩn Quốc Hoa Kỳ với mã Cu 876489.
