GMO controversies - science vs. public fear: Borut Bohanec at TEDxLjubljana

As Chair of the Department of Agronomy, head of the Department of Genetics and Biotechnology at the Biotechnical faculty, University of Ljubljana, Borut Bohanec possesses a broad overview of classical and modern techniques of plant breeding. For many years he has been following advances in the field of genetically modified organisms and wishes for better understanding of the issue among the general public.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
